What is Security as a Service and a vCISO?
Security as a Service is a model in which security management and execution are contracted on an ongoing basis rather than per project. At Taura, it combines the leadership of a vCISO (a virtual, externally contracted CISO) with hands-on execution in one plan. Workstreams, hour allocation and priorities are defined with the company, and each cycle the work is reviewed: what was done, what got stuck and what comes next.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a vCISO and Security as a Service?
A vCISO is outsourced security leadership, focused on strategy and governance. At Taura, Continuous Security can combine that role with technical execution in the contracted workstreams.
How does the monthly allocation work?
The company contracts a monthly capacity, split across the agreed priorities. A Taura lead coordinates the plan and reports progress each cycle. Extra requests follow the terms of the contract.
Does it replace an in-house team?
It can support companies still building the function or complement existing teams. Responsibilities and limits are agreed case by case.
Does it include 24/7 monitoring?
Only when that is part of the contract. Availability and service levels are defined when you sign.
